Call with the year, make, model and VIN and ask directly whether we can do that vehicle. Capability varies by shop more than by brand and you will get a straight answer including a no.

The historic districts around Dean Park, Edison Park and the McGregor corridor have houses old enough that the locks are part of the character.

That changes the job. A 1925 door often has a mortise lock, which is a completely different mechanism from a modern deadbolt and is not something a hardware store can help with. Owners usually want the original hardware kept, not swapped for a brass thing from a big box store.

• Repair and service mortise mechanisms rather than replacing them
• Fit modern deadbolts discreetly where security actually requires it
• Cut keys for older lock patterns that standard blanks do not fit

Restaurants, bars and retail downtown mostly run aluminum storefront doors, which take specific hardware. A residential deadbolt does not belong on one and will not fit properly.
