Condos, associations and gated communities
In a community with shared access, your front door is only part of the picture. There is usually a building entry, an amenity door, a mailroom or a gate credential attached to the same problem.
What we handle:

The thing worth knowing before you plan anything is that if a master key goes missing, every door it opened is compromised, not just one. A properly designed system limits how far any single key reaches. Most systems we are called to fix were designed around the staff who worked there at the time and fell over the first time somebody changed role.

Smart locks
Newer homes and higher end hardware means Estero is where we do the most smart lock work.
They solve one specific problem, which is people needing access when you are not there. Guests, cleaners, dog walkers, family, a rental turnover. They do not turn a weak door into a strong one.
Most smart lock failures we see are not the lock. They are the door being out of alignment so the motor cannot drive the bolt, or a backset or door thickness the model was never going to fit. Both are fixable, and both are worth checking before you buy rather than after.
If you already bought one and it did not fit, we can usually still make it work.

Can you get into a gated community?
Yes, but arrange it when you book. Either notify the gate, meet us there, or give us the access procedure. Otherwise we are waiting at a callbox and you are paying for the time.
Can you install a smart lock I already bought?
Usually. The most common reasons a smart lock will not work are the door being out of alignment or the backset being wrong for the model, and both are things we can check and often correct during the visit.
Do you work with condo associations and HOA boards?
